DISCUSSIONS
Free Fair – A motion and vote determined that we will have a one-unit booth for the fair and authorization was given to rent the booth at $75 to $100. Discussion covered signs, banners, posters, flags and other possible items for the booth. A motion and vote determined that we will have a double sided banner made that can be used in multiple ways for many years to come. Chalk Norton will be sending emails to have volunteers sign up for manning the booth.
Mush Ball Tournament – Greg Riojas volunteered to get the equipment for the game. Setting a date was put off until a future meeting.
Veterans’ Memorial Brick – Following discussion, a motion was made to purchase a 12”x12” Brick for $250. Suggested for engraving: “Pottawatomie County Democrats.”
Town Hall Meetings – Times and locations of upcoming Town Hall meetings were shared. Everyone was encouraged to attend all that they could in order to show Democratic support.
NOTES AND COMMENTS:
A Democrat candidate is needed for Shane Jett’s position.
Donna Schoenkopf expressed her appreciation to the “letter writers” and said they are doing a very good job. But, we need more.
Doyal Davis said “Good Job Donna!” And Hurrah for Latina Justina.
Jo Davis asked for those that could to contribute to the “DVD’s for Soldiers” program.
Grey Riojas said there IS an organized group in the southern part of Pottawatomie County where the need is great, (i.e. Bank, grocery store, cell phone coverage, just to name a few.)
ADJOURNMENT
