Drew Edmonson
Endorses Jari Askins

Fairly early on in the evening of July 27th, Drew Edmondson graciously conceded the race to Jari Askins and immediately asked his supporters to work as hard for her as they had for him.
Both Askins and Edmondson ran positive campaigns that Democrats can be proud of. The Askins win guarantees that Oklahoma will have it's first female governor in 2011. That governor must be Jari Askins if our state is to have any progress during the next four years.
Oklahoma must elect a governor that will work for all the people in the state instead of just a chosen few. Jari Askins is that governor.
Pottawatomie County Hosts
June Candidate Forum
Judical candidate Robert Thompson speaks to a full house at our June candidate forum. The forum was attended by every candidate or their representative that will be on our July and November ballots allowing Pottawatomie County Democrats to meet the candidates personally and understand their positions on the issues.
The forum was facilitated by Nancy Barrett. Donna Schoenkopf served as timekeeper and she made sure all the candidates had equal time at the podium.
The real highlight of the evening was the questions from the audience. Teachers, firemen, law enforcement officers, Native American chiefs, students, and seniors all had questions for our candidates. It was a fun and informative evening.
If you missed the candidate forum, come to the Fair. Many of the candidates will be visiting our booth there.
See you at the Fair!
