Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

to Our Democratic Friends

Democrats Believe

The Pottawatomie County Democrats participated in Shawnee’s Downtown Christmas Parade on December 3rd. Our truck sported the new banner and a white tree decorated with red white and blue bows.

Democrats wanted to show that we believe in Christmas, Democracy, and the good people of Shawnee. Thanks to volunteers, Donna Schoenkopf, Floretta and Kenneth Wallgren, and Kenneth and Jo Davis.

5th District Holiday Event

If you missed the 5th District Holiday event on December 3rd, you missed out on a chance to meet most of the state wide candidates and our favorite political commentator, Frosty Troy.   We now have a full ticket for the state wide offices

Frosty told all the candidates that he was volunteering to come wherever he was needed to help any candidate.  He said he would speak for them or against them whichever they thought would be the most helpful.

Democrats Have Great Candidates

Please Support Them

Our county party hopes to have a meet the candidate forum before the primary. In the meantime, they need your support. This is a critical time in their fund raising.

Democrats MUST hold on to the state wide offices. Without any checks and balances, the Republican dominated legislature can do anything they want to and the people of Oklahoma deserve better.

Fire Lake Grocery Receipts

for Education

Remember we are saving Fire Lake Grocery Receipts.  We need everyone to participate so we can save enough to get $100 gift cards for our schools.  Democrats Care about Education! Give your saved receipts to any committee member or better yet bring them to our Jan 9th 10:00 a.m. breakfast meeting at TJ's Restaurant in the Cinderella. TJ's and the Cinderella meeting rooms have recently been remodeled.

Remember there's no meeting in December

St Patrick's Eve

The Pottawatomie Democratic Central Committee

is planning a tribute to all the wonderful Irish Oklahoma and National Democrats who have helped make this country great.

Frosty Troy will be our Master of Ceremonies for a fun filled evening including music by the Dick Curtis band, a Step Dancing Exhibition, and Candidate Performances. Traditional Irish Food will be served.

This will be a fun filled evening for the whole family.  Most importantly, funds raised will go to our candidates.
