Democratic Sign

Destroyed Again

A day or two before Christmas the cowardly thugs that have defaced our sign on Hwy 102 and Clearpond Rd did it again.  This time they cut the telephone pole posts down even with the ground.  It will take some serious digging to get them removed so the sign can be replaced.

Here's a photo of the sign after we added the blue section that said "This Proves Enough is Enough". Note the large posts used this time and the barbed wire wrap used to deter saws.  The thugs had to be there quite a long time to cut it down because they had to use nail pullers and wire cutters before they could use their chain saw.

Below are photos of the sign damage they inflicted the other three times they attacked our sign.  They evidently think our message might be effective or they wouldn't work so hard to silence it.  Then again, they may just feel like it's their duty to police other people's thoughts and make sure they are not exposed to anything they don't agree with.

If anyone has seen anyone at the sign, please use the site contact form to tell us about it.  We were told that an older man in an older white GM pickup was seen at the sign during one of the other times it was defaced.  It has also been noted that the sign is usually destroyed in daytime because we or a neighbor were able to say that it was up in the morning as we left and down when we came home.

The sign will be replaced but we will wait til the weather warms some.  If anyone would like to help with construction or materials please use the site contact form to let us know
